I’m looking at enrolling in the Young Scholar’s program (ran by Auckland Uni) next year. My question is: if I enroll, would it technically make me a transfer student when I apply to the US?

To my knowledge, it shouldn’t! For example, in the year after high school I even studied at the University of Canterbury full-time for a semester (Feb-June) before I started college in the US in late August.
I am confident that doing Young Scholars during Year 13 shouldn’t be a problem, and it will be looked upon favourably by US colleges.
