Is Med School worth it in the USA? Can you come back to Australia after completing the degree?
Hi there,
First thing is that medical is a graduate school in the US, meaning that you complete four years of undergraduate study including premedical requirements before you apply to a US medical school. While there are lots of international undergraduate students, less than 0.1% of med school students are internationals, so it is very difficult to do.
After you get your degree, in most countries you either can practice automatically or appeal for a license which might include a test/short course. However, there are other complications like trying to get hospital residency, etc.
Hope that is helpful!!
