Hey, I am really curious about what “housing day” is like at Harvard?
Housing Day is the day that freshmen are sorted into one of the 12 upperclassmen houses at Harvard. It’s super wild! Upperclassmen all congregate to the Yard while freshman wait in their dormrooms. Each House’s Upperclassmen are given letters that are then distributed to the various freshman blocking groups (i.e. the groups of up to 8 people that you enter the housing process with). The Houses move dorm-to-dorm in huge groups, often chanting/wearing costumes/etc. It’s pretty intense and high-energy!
