I know this is different to a regular recruit. Does being a walk-on help with acceptance? Can I get a scholarship as a walk-on?
A walk on usually is an athlete that was not recruited. You can be a walk on to the team by joining after you enrolled in the university as a normal student or just because the coach wants to assess you for a year. A walk on is typically any student-athlete that does not receive an athletic scholarship.
