How many applications do schools like HYP get from NZ applicants in single choice early action and RD?
HYP accepts around 4-6 students each year from New Zealand. It is in the ratio with their admissions rate. I’m not sure about the specific numbers for NZ, but I know that last year there were 80 applicants from Japan, of which 3 (1 of whom may have dual citizenship) were accepted. So The number of applicants from New Zealand is probably around 100-150. Also remember that there are a lot of cross admits. This year a student got into HYPS so she took up spots at all 4. Another got into YS, another 2 got into HS.
