When is the SAT offered in South Africa?

The SAT Reasoning Test is offered internationally in October, December, March, and May.
The SAT Subject Tests are offered in October, November, December, May, and June.

Remember that in December and May you can sit either the Reasoning or Subject Tests (but not both on the same day).

As at January 2018, dates for the second half of 2018 and 2019 have not been released. However, the College Board website lists the following anticipated 2018-19 SAT Test Dates:

October 6, 2018 (including Subject Tests)
December 1, 2018 (including Subject Tests)
March 9, 2019
May 4, 2019 (including Subject Tests)
June 1 (Subject Tests)

Hi, I’m also a South African looking to study overseas.Can you explain a bit about the SAT and ACT regarding what you have to learn and at what age you are allowed to take it.

Hi!

The exams are similar. ACT is slightly more content based and deeper, but the SAT requires more analytical thinking on your feet. I think the best thing is to check out our blog about it: https://www.crimsoneducation.org/us/standardised-testg/sat-home
