Are there computer labs?

There is a substantial computer lab in the library available for student use that is open during the hours that the library is open for services. There, students can take advantage of the Macs and work on multiple screens at the same time.

However, recently, students have expressed the desire to be able to use computers 24/7. With this in mind, some Macs have been added to the group study rooms in the 24-hour portion of the library. This is a temporary measure until the school can enable physical access to the computer lab even while non-24-hour portions of the library are closed.

In addition to that, Yale-NUS has its own fabrication lab with several 3D printers, a laser engraving machine, a high-tech printer, a sewing machine, soldering tools, and other equipment for students to produce three-dimensional work of their own. Students are allowed to drop in whenever associates are present and make use of the machinery for academic and personal work. For now, use of most of this machinery is still free (for the high-quality 2D printer, you need to pay for the materials).
